Arctic Fox
Various birds like Falcons, Snow Owls, Sea Birds, Swamp Birds, etc..
The Arctic Hare (Rather Rare)
Sheep
Goats
Polar Bear (Need my permission)
The Arctic Foxes and Polar Bears got to the island with ice bergs from Greenland. In few exceptional cases did Hares survive the ride overseas, hence them being rare here.
Sheep and Goats escaped the farmers like the horses. Goats finding it harder to survive the harsh winters. In other words, more likely to die because of starvation or cold.
For Birds this is a paradise! Few animals to hunt them and safe nesting places. The bad thing is that most cannot surive the winters.. so they'd need to leave over the winter time (Birds of Prey and a few Sea Birds being the exception).They can roam the lands like the equines. Foxes/Falcons/Owls may attempt to hunt hares or birds. But the powerplaying rules apply! Polar bears just follow my decisions. ;-)
Grass eaters and birds can live together though, providing a kindof security system inbetween themselves.And thats about it, wildlife here in Iceland was and still is extremely poor. Birds, polar bears and foxes being the only species to begin with.
